The second half of the season began late for Great Totham, thanks to the League's helpful fixture list, allowing the skipper as much time as possible to get over his namby-pamby medical issues. However, with 6 others available the skipper couldn't get onto the team sheet. Pooky must have got a GoPro for Christmas & brought it along to record his highlights & then proceeded to look at the camera whilst fielding. Nick skippered & won the toss, electing to bowl first. The Springfield openers scored at an excellent run rate. When they were gone the next 2 batsmen continued in the same vein. Issey took a couple of wickets & there was some good catching by Pooky & Cheesey, but Springfield amassed 132 in their 12 overs.
The Springfield bowlers proved to be economical & effective. Only Cheesey got into double figures as Great Totham managed to score 47 before being all out. 2 more games in the next 2 weeks to see if relegation can be avoided.
