Seasons Greetings! Your GTCC Family wishes all members, colts, Vice-Presidents, families, friends & sponsors the happiest of Christmases. We hope you had a thoroughly enjoyable year with us and look forward to welcoming you back to Bull Meadow & Braxted Park next year.
Firstly to SRC, thank you for your tremendous support as our club shirt sponsors and we look forward to continuing our partnership in 2022.
A year ago, things were just as uncertain then as they are now. We had missed half a season of cricket in 2020, and nobody could predict how much cricket would be available in 2021. Fortunately thanks to the hard work & preparation of the committee and our wider cricketing community we were able to offer competitive league cricket to 97 members, of which 29 were colts. On the field our 1st XI stayed in the Premier League for the first time ever, while the 3rd XI won promotion to Division 9. Congratulations to all those involved. Throughout the season there were plenty of senior debuts, a handful of 1st XI debuts and a few personal milestones were also ticked off.
Due to the pandemic, we could not hold as many social events as we would normally like. We hope that this can be improved in 2022, and plans are already in the works to make 2022 bigger than anything we've done before. This will build on the hugely successful 151 Celebrations held on the August Bank holiday, which I'm sure everyone who attended agrees was fantastic day out for all.
MEMBERSHIP
We've dropped our membership prices for 2022! The committee felt that we had become comparatively more expensive than other local clubs, and also wanted to offer several different payment methods (annual membership/direct debit/pay as you go) to ensure that members of all availabilities had a viable option for them. The committee is hopeful that offering membership in this manner will drive up membership numbers and offset any potential lost revenue. There's no better time to sign up than right now, so click this link to renew your membership now:
